南京航空航天大学袁慎芳教授莅临我院做学术报告

 

南京航空航天大学机械结构力学及控制国家重点实验室结构健康监测与预测研究中心主任袁慎芳教授于2019926日星期四来我院开展学术访问交流活动,并为我院教师和学生做了题为航空结构健康监测进展及轻量化冲击在线监测方法的学术报告。

报告会上,袁教授首先介绍了她所在的南京航空航天大学机械结构力学及控制国家重点实验室的发展历程、组织机构和相应的研究方向。结合复合材料因其优异性能而在航空航天领域广泛应用的工程背景,讲述了航空结构健康监测技术在过去30年中逐步从基础理论研究向工程应用转变的历程,其中过许多问题得到了学术界和工业界越来越多的关注和研究。袁教授跟与会的教师和学生们生动形象地描述复合材料在航空航天领域服役过程中的工况环境,说明航空构件中的复合材料很容易遭受外界冲击等而形成内部的不可见损伤,从而造成性能和完整性下降。结构健康监测技术(structural health monitoring, SHM)技术能够利用布置在结构中的先进传感器,在线实时地获取与结构健康状态相关的信息,对结构的健康状态进行在线监测与评估,从而实现结构损伤的预测和剩余寿命估计,最终指导航空结构的设计、任务决策和后勤保障维护。袁教授随后介绍了南京航空航天大学在结构健康监测方面的研究进展,向师生们讲述了他们团队目前在研的一种轻量化复合材料结构冲击在线监测的方法。袁教授的报告吸引了学院的很多师生前来参加报告厅里座无虚席与会教师和学生对她的讲座反应热烈,会后袁教授还与现场的师生就航空结构健康监测展开深入讨论。

袁慎芳教授目前为国家杰出青年基金获得者、长江学者奖励计划特聘教授、中组部万人计划领军人才,入选国家百千万人才工程并获国家有突出贡献中青年专家称号,获全国巾帼建功标兵荣誉称号。现为欧洲结构健康监测执委会委员。长期从事智能结构及健康监测的研究,先后主持国家杰出青年基金、自然科学基金重点项目、国防973专题、国家863、国防基础项目、教育部新世纪人才支持计划、国家重点型号工程项目及欧盟第7框架国际合作项目。在大尺寸复杂结构健康监测、服役环境下结构高可靠性监测、分布式-轻量化结构健康监测、结构损伤扩展及寿命预测、结构健康监测与预测装备研发等方面取得了公认的研究成果,已应用于我国多个重点型号的研制。先后获国家发明三等奖、国家优秀教学成果二等奖、教育部提名国家科技进步一等奖、国防技术发明二等奖,获2017年度世界结构健康监测杰出年度人物奖。

 Presented A Talk on the structural health monitoring and on-line method of lightweight impact monitoring of aircraft structures

 

Prof. Yuan Shenfang from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics presented a talk entitled "Progress of aviation structural health monitoring and on-line method of lightweight impact monitoring" to a broad audience of researchers and students on Sept. 26, 2019 in the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, Ningbo University.

In her presentation, Prof. Yuan introduced the history, organization and research directions of the State Key Lab of Mechanics and Control of Mechanical Structures, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Then, combined with the status that composite materials are widely used in aerospace field due to their excellent properties, she described the process of aviation structural health monitoring technology gradually changing from basic theoretical research to engineering application in the past 30 years, which has attracted more and more attention in the academia and industry. Prof. Yuan vividly depicted the working conditions of composite materials in the aerospace, indicating that composite materials in aerospace components are vulnerable to be impacted by the outside and form invisible internal damage, thus causing the degradation of performance and integrity. Structural health monitoring technology (structural health monitoring, SHM) can be used in the structure of the advanced sensors, on-line real-time access to information related to the structure health status, health status of structure of on-line monitoring and evaluation, so as to realize the prediction of structural damage and residual life estimation, guiding the design of aircraft structure, decision-making and logistics to maintenance. Prof. Yuan then introduced the research progress of structural health monitoring in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and told the teachers and students about a lightweight composite material impact monitoring method currently developed by her research team. Prof. Yuan's lecture attracted many teachers and students. After the lecture, Prof. Yuan also had an in-depth discussion with the teachers and students on the health monitoring of aviation structure.

Prof. Yuan Shenfang has achieved the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, she is also the special professor achieved "Cheung Kong scholars award program". She has been selected into the National Talents Engineering and won the title of young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, and the honorary title of national female model. She is currently a member of the European executive committee on structural health monitoring. She has been engaged in the research of intelligent structure and health monitoring for a long time and has successively presided over the national outstanding youth fund, the key project of natural science fund, the national defense 973 project, the national 863 project, the national defense foundation project, the new century talent support plan of the Ministry of Education, the national key model project and the EU 7th framework international cooperation project. She has won the third prize of national invention, the second prize of national excellent teaching achievement, the first prize of national science and technology progress nominated by the Ministry of Education, the second prize of national defense technology invention, and the 2017 annual world structural health monitoring outstanding person award. She has published two monographs and one literary translation. She has published nearly 300 papers. More than 40 national invention patents and over 10 national software copyrights have also been granted.
